Granite City Tool has been a manufacturer and distributor for the stone industry since 1885 and is now in its third generation of same-family ownership. We are proud of our nearly 120 years of experience in the stone tooling business and we attribute this longevity to having built a solid reputation for providing our customers with high-quality products through reliable and expedient service.
Through our 120 years of service, we have expanded to better serve the industry. In addition to stone and monument divisions, Granite City Tool now includes divisions in: stone countertops, concrete countertops, Thawzall ground-heating systems, and Granite City Rental to support contractors' professional equipment and supply needs.

Monument Division: Located in a natural granite quarry area of Minnesota, Granite City Tool's Monument Division is available to service all your monumental needs. Granite City Tool is a full line supplier of sandblast equipment, abrasive, adhesives, handling equipment, dust filtration systems, Lichichrome paints, and stencil cutting system (plotters). Granite City Tool is also a member of the Monument Builders of North America.
Concrete Counter Tops: Granite City Tool is the exclusive distributor of Milestones products. Milestones fiber cast self consolidating concrete mix is a two part premix. It's a high strength countertop mix loaded with alkaline resistant high strength fibers and desifying agents. The pre-measured liquid component has a high quality acrylic polymer and high-end super plasticizer. The premix is available in eight standard colors as well as natural. Also available are the Milestones countertop molds; the latest in multi-usable, multi-profile counter top molds.

• Air Compressors - Granite City Tool and Granite City Rental are national distributors of many types of stationary and portable air compressors Warranty, service and installation are offered for our customers. Granite City Rental is your complete industrial air compressor headquarters. Maintenance programs and a full warranty service center are available on many name brand manufacturers. A knowledgeable sales staff is on hand offering competitive pricing on all sizes from 5hp to 350 hp compressors.
• Aerial Equipment and Contractor Supplies, division of Granite City Tool, services the Minnesota market for construction / contractor rental of all aerial lift equipment along with all other professional equipment / supplies to satisfy contractors' needs to finish the job.

Thawzall: - Still on Schedule at 30 below - Granite City Rental is the largest dealer in the country for this innovative Thawzall portable hydronic heating system. Thawzall provides the contractor with the latest innovation in ground frost removal/prevention, concrete curing, pre-pour warming and temporary heat. In normal soil conditions, it will thaw a foot a day. There is no limit to the size area to be thawed. From a 10 sq. ft. area to 100,000 sq. ft. plus. We provide a turnkey package of consulting and set-up or simply a rental. Contractors using a Thawzall enjoy the benefit of being able to schedule all their subcontractors based on the proven reliability of a Thawzall to get the job done efficiently and inexpensively.
