Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

There doesn't seem to be any clarity to the stone. How were the pads used?

Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

ok, here is what it looks like and please tell me if i am wrong.
it looks like it has orange peel that came from the attempt of polishing from a low hone wit a hot compound.
I must say, this job does not look good even with that that gloss reading.
gloss does not mean great reflection

Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

I want to know more about the product. What is the price? How is it used? Wet? Dry? If it were used on a floor that just needed a traffic area polished, not from a hone, but from a polished stone that showed some wear, what would the results be? Is it quick? Do you need to spend extra time? It might have it's usefulness somewhere, but not as a substitute for proper honing and polishing. If it is used on a stone that is properly honed and polished does it reduce clarity or increase shine?

Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

I just used the Norton pads, which are the same theory. They worked very well for the shine and their abillty to gloss, but the clarity was lacking. I equate it to the same as trying to polish with a black pad instead of a white or hair pad. The stone surface is unevenly abraded.

Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

The Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus and the Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pad Plus systems are used for floor coating, cleaning and polishing marble, terrazzo and polished concrete floors. The Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Pad Plus conditions damaged stone floors due to high traffic or low maintenance and prepares the floors to be shined by the Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond Floor Pad Plus.

Re: Scotch-Brite Purple Diamond and Scotch-Brite Sienna Diamond Floor Pads

I am sorry, but if you used this system correctly, it is time to start looking for a new system.
All I see in the images above is a badly restored floor.
