www.nsraweb.com), a network of independent stone restoration professionals, attends Coverings and K/BIS conventions and finds that the needs of the consumer are in-line with their mission.
The NSRA identified a need and is filling in the gaps in the natural stone industry with a focus on the education of its members, the consumer and other stone professionals. Increased use of natural stone in the home and other applications, have lead to the need for restorers nation-wide and the NSRA is spreading the word that stone restoration is the least invasive option for most applications.
The organized efforts of the NSRA have proven successful at two major shows and has introduced the rest of the stone industry to the restoration professionals. With renewed efforts including a class schedule and a multi-language forum, the NSRA now commits to Stone Expo in Las Vegas, NV.
Josveek Huligar, of Huligar Stone Restoration and technical advisor of the NSRA, described the events as enlightening and further solidified the need for restoration professionals. "What amazed me", Said Huligar, "is that of the hundreds of people we spoke with, only a handful were aware of natural stone's ability to be repaired or refinished post installation which furthers the need of our organization."
