The A.R.T. StoneLux professional toolbox

Pure Color LC offers an effective, easy-to-use application method:

After the surface to be treated has been cleaned, conditioned and coated with M-Primer, the low-viscosity Pure Color material is directly applied from the user-friendly syringe and then light cured with the purpose-designed LED 800 curing light. Mechanical surface finishing completes the procedure.

Smart solutions necessitate coordinated components. The A.R.T. StoneLux professional toolbox contains all the components to effect fast high-quality repair work - from preparing and repairing the damage to finishing the repaired surface. All components are arranged in logical order in the ergonomic and sturdy professional toolbox. The individual components are supplied in a user-friendly delivery form, for instance in ready-to-use sealed syringes or application pens.A flowchart guides the user through all the major stages in the application procedure.

Well that is what they claim. If you have this new toy please let me know what you think.

As always here is the clips.

Jo, I've seen a demo on this kit before at my office. It works good. but I think you can do the same thing with the super glue trick that Mark uses.

I can and I do. It takes me less time. It is a new toy on the market and it is my job to show to our guess.

Jo
If this kit costs $1900 is it really worth it, how much do you have invested in what you use?

Brian Yager, $1900 is a lot of money for that toy. The stuff I use only cost me $100. And as far as I can tell this toy can only fix small chips. I do not know the bonding straight. I do not know how much is the refills. Can we mix the colors, does it look natural, and how does it hold up in wet areas. My list can go on and on and on. I hope Eric can give us some insight, or contact someone that can. This is my two-cent but I have not use this product.

Re: Art Lux Repair Kit

How about the pricetag? What kind of resins are they Fred?

I did very little testing with the windshield repair resin, UV light source was not efficient, but I have requested a used dental UV lamp for fillings from my g/f's boss(dentist). They get new ones even when the old ones are not broken. I will have one soon and do some further testing. Should be interesting, I know it polishes quite well after curing with a little compound.

THe price is a littel high, but I think it will come down ,A few of my students have purchased it and love it. One thing it does do, is impress the heck out of your customer...this translates into high tech............more dollars for your repair.

Re: The A.R.T. StoneLux professional toolbox

Fred I want to put you on the spot.
Can you please post some images of some repair that was made with this tool. how natural does the repair look? how much does the refills cost? what all colors can you get for this tool? I have never use this tool so I do not know much, people may see this as high tech but when they see you take the time and care to make custom colors for the stone, they see you as a craftsman and will pay the big bucks.
