(Dallas, Texas) With the recent launch of StonExpo East in Atlanta, the industry has once again spoken by throwing its support behind this new event. The show, which will be held March 23-25, 2007 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, just completed the initial space assignment process and is already 70% sold out! With this kind of response, StonExpo East is on pace to sell out well before the show.
“It is great hearing the fantastic support that StonExpo East has attracted, but we are not surprised, says Gary Distelhorst, Executive Director, Marble Institute of America. “The stone industry is very strong in the East and particularly in the Southeast where StonExpo East will take place. We had a very strong show in Atlanta in 2003, and spring 2007 will be even strongera great testament to the fine reputation and brand the show is building. Machinery and tool companies, distributors and fabricators alike are all supporting StonExpo East, which is the ultimate endorsement, and MIA is excited to be a part of it.
“Our goal is to work with the Marble Institute of America, Natural Stone Council and all of our partner organizations to fulfill the needs of the industry, says Michelle Troop, Senior Show Director, StonExpo. “We were asked to deliver THE stone industry event to the east as a way to ensure that this important region’s needs were met…we couldn’t be more pleased with the industry’s response!
StonExpo East has been launched as a biennial event to fulfill the needs of the industry in the east and companies from around the world have already committed to this new event. Over 115 companies have already signed up for approximately 60,000 net square feet in the show, including many major manufacturers such as Park Industries, Salem Stone, G & L Marble, Z. Bavelloni, Breton, Eurostone, GranQuartz, East West Stone, Architectural Marble and Granite and over a hundred others. A complete exhibitor list and floor plan can be found at

“No show has been as consistently good for us as StonExpo, says Peter Edwards, Eurostone Machine, a division of Pyramid Supply. “And now having an eastern and western StonExpo show will be all that we need.
Jill Morris, G & L Marble, notes, “It's great to have StonExpo back on the East Coast again! We look forward to exhibiting at the show in a big way! We're very excited to have the opportunity to meet new faces and greet our familiar customers. Welcome home, StonExpo!
Gary Bricker, Z. Bavelloni USA, adds, "The StonExpo Show is a huge asset to our sales and marketing efforts. It is the true meeting place for stone professionals, where stone accessories and fabrication equipment are present in one place at the same time.
“When you combine the large concentration of stone industry professionals in the southeast and the strong history that StonExpo has in Atlanta, it only makes sense to host the event there. With the size and scope of the stone industry in the area, it is vital to provide the right forum for these individuals. And StonExpo is committed to delivering an event that will help further the growth and success of the stone industry in this region, adds Troop.
StonExpo East 2007 will follow the same results-driven formula used for StonExpo in Las Vegas. The show will feature more than 200 exhibiting companies who will showcase a variety of slab stone along with the latest stone products, machinery and technologies. With 5,000-plus fabricators, installers, architects, designers, distributors, builders, retailers and kitchen & bath specialists expected in attendance, StonExpo East will provide another stellar opportunity to strengthen and grow the stone industry.
