creates a lifetime seal on your stone countertop so you will never have to seal
your stone again. With other sealers, you need to seal your stone every six
months to a year. Even then, over-the-counter sealers will allow stains through,
especially acidic juices, alcohol, vinegar and oil. Granite Shield is etch-proof
on granite and we back that up with a LIFETIME WARRANTY. Flooring is under
warranty for 10 years, 5 years at 100%.

Granite Shield can even be used on
matte countertops or flooring. When Granite Shield is used on matte or honed
finishes, the surface stays matte or honed. There is no shine added; however, if
your stone is shiny, it will increase the shine considerably and make it
smoother. Granite Shield noticeably decreases the natural pits and fissures in
stone, but will not fill them in.

Granite Shield's process works so well you don't need aftercare products. So
many of our customers have asked for an aftercare product produced by Granite
Shield we've added our own line produced by our own chemist.

There is no product on the market yet that can make marble, travertine or
limestone etch-proof. Acidic juices, alcohol and vinegar can etch your marble,
travertine and limestone if it is left unattended on your stone surface;
however, Granite Shield will protect your marble, travertine and limestone so
well that it is difficult to etch and if it does, it will not be very deep and
can be buffed out easily. Our newest Granite Shield product will even protect

	Marble MARBLE: CHARACTERISTICS This standard includes general information on the characteristics and common uses of marble and identifies typical problems associated with the material. INTRODUCTION Marble is an extremely hard, metamorphic stone composed of calcite (CaCO3). It is formed as a result of the recrystallization of limestone under the intense pressure and heat of geologic processes. The effect of this process is the creation of a stone with a very tight crystalline structure and small but definite porosity. Because of its structure, marble can take a very high polish and is a very popular decorative stone for architectural and sculptural uses. The limited porosity of marble, especially polished marble, makes it less vulnerable to the leaching effects of water. Calcium carbonate, however, of which marble is composed, is highly susceptible to attack by acidic agents. Marble is readily dissolved by acids, even very dilute acids, however the actual results of acidic exposure will vary with the nature of the acid. Chlorides, nitrates, sulfates and other chemical compounds react differently with marble and produce various by-products, which have a wide range of solubility and impact on the durability of marble. For this reason, it is always important to determine the exact type of pollutants causing marble deterioration. Marble itself can be of two types, one composed of calcite and the other of dolomite. Dolomitic marble is much more resistant to acid attack than calcite marble. The color of marble ranges from the brilliant white of calcite to black, including blue-gray, red, yellow and green, depending upon the mineral composition. TYPICAL USES Marble has many decorative and structural uses. It is used for outdoor sculpture as well as for sculpture bases; in architecture it is used in exterior walls and veneers, flooring, decorative features, stairways and walkways. The way in which the stone is used may be a factor in limiting or controlling the severity of exposure. The use or function of the marble may also affect the feasibility of applying certain treatments, but type of use is not the primary factor in the major types of deterioration and damage to which marble is susceptible.

If this were true than every fabricator would be sealing with this stuff and WE would all be without a job........

James, other people have made the same claim, i have never use it are had a sample, so until than i think we should base our opinions on first hand knowledge and not pass experience.

If anyone has this product or used this product please post. We do not need a sale pitch, but we do need to understand this new product.

Extensive testing that was even sealed by granite shield THEMSELVES, failed some of the testing criteria over at the other site when it was put to the test last year.

well I have no idea what was done on that test. plus it was a year ago. I have done testing on many sealers and found that I can make each sealer fail if that is my gold. I am planning to run testing on a few sealers in the up coming weeks. not only would this test show the sealers failing but at what point they fail. I will make a little clip so you can see it for your self.

	sealer Impregnation: This is commonly known as sealers. This is the first stage in preserving and maintaining your investment. This stage should occur ever six to eight months. There are three types of impregnation (solvent, water, silicone based), regardless to brand. This will stop most water base stains from occurring. It also will stop the stone from been damage beyond repair.

I only know of a couple of sealers that state re-apply every 6 months to a year. And with this being on the can You all should make more money on having a maintenance program. And to make a claim that it makes the granite etch proof is no big deal. I'll sell acid under the same warranty when used on granite.

$15.00 per gallon, sell 2000 gallons = $30,000.00 have to replace 20 tiles at $30.00 a tile = $600.00 that leave me with $29,400.00

Don't get me wrong, there were some area's that were improved over the regular sealers and YES, maybe there is a new additive. I could copy and paste the thread/link if you like or do a search of the other site you love so much under granite shield. Richard conducted the testing on I think 4-6 different granites with oil absorption and something else, I would have to reread the entire testing protocols.
