In the beginning Whiz-Q Stone was a wholesale sandstone quarry operation in the western part of Texas. In 1986 Whiz-Q Stone opened their first retail stone yard in south Ft. Worth, Texas on two acres of unimproved land. The retail operation grew and the quarrying operation was disbanded. All the employees were moved to the retail yard, where many remain as long-time employees to this day. The retail operation continued at this location for the next nine years until it outgrew the property. In August 1995 Whiz-Q Stone moved to the an eight-acre location in Ft. Worth Texas, and acquired an adjoining 14 acres in 2005, where it still remains to present day; making Whiz-Q Stone one of Texas largest Stoneyards.
Whiz-Q Stone is a full service stone yard today offering one of the largest selections of natural stone, landscaping supplies, water garden supplies, and Pavestone throughout the Dallas/ Ft. Worth metroplex. Products come from all over the United States, Canada. Mexico, and even from overseas. Current inventory includes more than 200 kinds of natural stone as well as sands, soils, mulch, water garden supplies, decorative fountains, Pavestone, Aquascape brand pond products, Xpotential products, Nature’s Guide organic products, outdoor fireplaces, pergolas, grills, and lighting. Whiz-Q Stone offers delivery service for its products using a fleet of special designed and built delivery trucks, trailers and containers.
