I am Josveek Huligar of Huligar Stone Restoration. It is my hope that a few good craftsmen and craftswomen will call this sanctuary a home.
I will try to make this place as appealing to you as possible.
We do have a few ground rules (without rules there can only be chaos).
1. Respect yourself and your trade.2.No trade bashing. But, by all means, please debate. It is through the debates that we get to the truth.
3. In your signature, you may not link to any other site. If you supplied your link in your profile, you may put that link under your avatar
4. Do not insult the guests.
5. Your participation is necessary in all polls. This is the only way we can get real feedback.6.You can post pictures of your work. Please, the only work we really care about is the work you do to stone, not on it (nothing inappropriate).
7. You will also be required to be active in this forum. I intend to rid the NSRA Trade area of the hacks and stone-voyeurs by mandating anyone who wants access to the trade lounge to register with their location and trade. If for any reason a person does not participate for duration of 60 days they will be banned from the lounge "No Beer for you". We have guys who are willing to share their knowledge and experience to the public for free. The least you can do is ask the questions. If trade lounge has just one other person, I would be happy if that one person was someone I could exchange ideas with and by doing so better myself. In that way, this site is more about show and tell.
8. The general public will not be allowed in the trade lounge. The trade lounge members are not allowed in the student lounge. The students will be able to view but not post in the general room. All questions for the trade are to be confined to the trade lounge or they would be redirected to the trade lounge. Anyone in the trade lounge can make a reply to the general room once they keep in mind that we are promoting natural stone as a serviceable product.
9. We are craftsmen and women, not politicians. So leave the politics out.
MIA, Marble Cleaning Net, NTC, sfa and ISI are all welcome here as long as they respect this forum. There is a room where all may place their ads and do their promotions for upcoming events, a calendar for trade shows, educational classes, and any other type of trade gathering. For all the salespeople, we even have a place for you. You can enter your product up for reviews and the good folks will grade your products. I must warn you. If your product is inferior, the whole world will know, quickly. No news travels faster than bad news. For all the homeowners, contractors, and designers we even have a place for you. The general room is where you can ask as many questions as you want. You may not get the answer you are looking for but you will get the right answer. If there is any way that we can make your visit more pleasurable, please let us know. | | Natural stone retailers Discuss, Adirondack Company at Restoration and Industry Directory forum; It all started when I took a long needed vacation to Riveredge Resort in the 1000 islands. | | <!-- google_ad_section_start -->Adirondack Company<!-- google_ad_section_end --> It all started when I took a long needed vacation to Riveredge Resort in the 1000 islands. This vacation was much needed, I used to be the director of operations in a medium sized lawn, landscape, maintenance design build firm. That also was evolved in snow plowing and removal Salting. For all the landscapers reading this this is for you. So I took my family for a quick getaway to the 1000 island region. Mind you this was shortly after 4th of July, when all the landscapers have been pushing it so hard to get all there customers properties to look so great for greatest event of the summer months. So on the way up we made a couple of stops, and during our stay in that region, I did allot of thinking. Crew effencies and such, and I went blank. from that day forward I wasn't thinking how I could help build a landscape company anymore. I decided from that day forward I found my calling. It was to open up a retail landscape supply center, and it's names sake had to Adirondack mulch and stone company. I must tell you why I choose that name, while on vacation the places I saw, the air I smelled, the water I touched, and the land that I walked on. This same area that I visited seemed to be sinuous with honest, fair, wholesome, what more could you ask for. So I modeled my thoughts of what the company will stand for, and that was going to be it's fair, and honest and fair. and wholesome approach to it's daily doings. There was one thing I could never control 100 % in my landscaping career. That was when the crews went out to do a job, would the job be to everyone's expectation. 70-80% of the time yes it was done correctly the first time. This was one of my deciding factors to switch my profession. I wanted to be attached to something I never had to explain, why this happen or why it didn't happen. So when I got home I had so much to do, I had to create what this was going to be and since July of 2000 the concept was building ,we had a name. Officially in April of 2001 we branded the name to the public, through the landscape firm I was employed through. It was called bla bla bla (To protect the innocent) selling Adirondack Mulch and stone Products. Our initial offerings weren't much but it kept us busy from April 15 - July 15. Now our offerings keep us busy year round, And in every truck load of mulch delivered and fieldstone pallet stone. That vacation that started it all comes back to me, and to all of our customer that love a little bit of the Adirondacks in the heart of a city. Thank you for believing.
Since those beginning days we are ever so evolving. We current offerings are much greater and Adirondack mulch and stone is now The Adirondack Company is ever evolving. From having retail locations called Adirondack Mulch and stone and still providing our signature quality mulches and stone products. To developing it own Trucking and Roll off container divisions. And wholesale divisions. But ultimately I want to grow this company to be in all the major Cities throughout New York State. By offering Franchise and Licensing opportunities, as well as company owned stores.
