Keith Upham began his career in the Green Industry as a freshman in high school. While attending Weston High School Keith spent his summers working for a few local lawn maintenance and landscape maintenance contractors. Upon graduating high school and a brief encounter with business school at Colorado State University, Keith decide that his heart belonged to the outdoors and the beautification of residential landscapes. It was at this time that Keith enrolled at The Stockbridge School of Agriculture, a two year program focusing on landscape management and landscape design. It was this program and learning that was the basis for the technical side of the landscape management business. Having the knowledge of plant, landscape construction materials and methods Keith's entrepreneurial spirit couldn't be held back any further. In 1988, while finishing up a bachelors degree in Arboriculture, Keith launched the Upham Landscape Company. In 1989, Keith continued to grow the business through unmatched service, quality work and the acquisition of customer lists from dissolved businesses.
Today, Keith serves as the President of the company and oversees the company's landscape design/build division and specialty services. His commitment to quality work and unmatched customer service has recognized The Upham Landscape Company as a leader in the local landscape services market. The Upham Landscape Company continues its growth through creative marketing, word of mouth and its continued reputation as a company that gets the job done.
Richard McEndarffer, Land Care Sales & Account Manager
Richard "Dick" McEndarffer joined The Upham Landscape Company in the spring of 2005. Dick brings over 20 years of Green Industry experience to the company. Dick got his start as a team member of a landscape/nursery business in his home state of Michigan whre he received a Bachelors of Science in Horticulture from Michigan State University. Having resided in Massachusetts for 16 years Dick's green industry experience has taken him from interior landscape to nursery manager to wholesale nursery sales and finally commercial landscape maintenance prior to joining The Upham Landscape Co. Dick holds a certification as a Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional (MCLP), the only accredited green industry certicfication recognized in the state of Massachusetts. In his spare time Dick enjoys fishing the waters of Cape Cod, hunting and mountain biking.
Estelle Espe-Chase, Landscape Designer
Estelle joined The Upham Landscape Company in the spring of 2005 as the company's first full-time landscape designer. Estelle, a native of Minnesota, graduated from The University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts, and later a certificate in Fashion Design from The School of Fashion Design in Boston, MA. She is currently a certificate candidate at The Landscape Institute of Harvard University, where she is pursuing a Master’s Certificate in Landscape Design. Estelle came to the company after working for three years at Weston Nurseries of Hopkinton, doing in-house design and horticulture sales. Estelle combines her natural design talents, love of horticulture and personable style, to create stunning landscape design solutions for our clientele. Her hobbies include gardening, running, yoga. Estelle and her husband spend much of their free time building a retirement home in New Hampshire.
David Johnson, Lawn & Plant Health Care Manager
David joined The Upham Landscape Company in the spring 0f 2006. He began his landscape career over 16 years ago in Columbus Ohio. While pursuing a business management degree, he worked for a large landscape maintenance corporation around his school schedule. He worked his way up from laborer to general manager, graduated, and decided that the Green Industry was his calling. After 10 years in the Midwest, he decided to return to Massachusetts, where he grew up, and build on his career in landscape operations management for a company in the Metro West area prior to joining Upham Landscape. He compliments our organization with an excellent blend of landscape knowledge, customer service skill, production management, and business education. He currently resides in Connecticut with his wife Wendy and two children.
Dave's daily responsibilities include managing The Perfect Turf, Peace Frog and Constant Care Plant Health Care division of the company. Dave is responsible for maintaining the overall health and vigor of turf and plant materials of The Upham Landscape Clientele.
Lacerda "Ojee" Soares, Production Assistant
Lacerda Soares is a seasoned veteran of The Upham Team having celebrated his 8th year with the company in 2005. Lacerda assists Keith & Dick in making sure that production teams have all the necessary eqiuipment and materials to get the job done. Fluent in both Portuguese and English, Lacerda is responsible for bridging the communication gap between the Brazilian production team and management. Lacerda is also responsible for the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the company's vehicles and equipment. Outside of work Lacerda enjoys spending time with his two daughters, Camilla & Emily and his wife Marcia. Lacerda and his family currently reside in Framingham. | |
