Re: Huligar Stone Restoration

I'm in Lawton, Oklahoma. I am in need of a source for the products that can restore a 20 year old polished travertine back to it's ariginal luster. I am currently using Stone Tech honing/ polishing/ shining powders but they take it just so far & even though they produce a shine they also seem to slightly remove the fill leaving the appearance of pits in the travertine rather than the flush polished surface of the original. Any help wil be greatly appreciated. Thanks

With a 20 year old travertine, I do not see how you can polish with out cutting with diamonds.
Try this, traver fill to fill all the pits in the stone. Once the fill is cured, grind the floor flat with diamonds all the way up to 600. Use the stone tech polishing that you already have or go and get some 5X and polish the stone. This will work 80% of the time.
