Question Hello

I am working on a project of finishing a kitchen in a mountain cabin. When I research stone options for the counters I find -- do it your self granite tile, -- thin granite from local immigrant shops -- or the SilesStone or Granite from HomeDupot. My problem is that I like the products from the local immigrant shops. But is hard to know if the product is good or bad. I have to admit that it is hard to communicate with them and I am not sure that we have the same paradigms that would give me confidence that I am making the right decission.

So, are there different types of granite. Does it act differently in the way you can use it? What questions do I ask of my granite shop? (Boy, am I a rookie.) Just the basics Mam. thanks, Phil

Re: Hello

That is a hand full Phil, lets start with the names of the stones that you do like, do you have hard water, why tile and not a full slab?
