what kind of granite is this

I posted this in another forum and was told that this is probably Golden Vyara. Im looking for tile for a back splash that will match this granite. Does anybody have any suggestions as to what colors, type etc has been matched to this in other installations? Also, does my granite need help, thats what i was told?

Thanks.

Re: what kind of granite is this

Looks to me like it may be Shivkashi Pink. My supplier does not show tiles being available for this. I would go with a tumbled travertine tile to accent it.

I am not sure what you mean by does it need help. I would just be sure to keep your sealer up to date - give it the water test regularly and only apply sealer if the stone darkens when wet.

Re: what kind of granite is this

Hi Guys

What brings on the question? Many stones contain iron. If it is a porous stone, and not properly sealed, it would only take moisture to start to activate it. Have you tried TESTing with a rust remover?
