| Re: Taking A Survey Form The Members. I guess I made the decision to just go with natural stone only as I,ve said before about 2 -3weeks ago I,ve reverted back to using my old company name of Finlayson Natural Stone Ltd , instead of the stonebenchtop co ltd which was to be my all encompassing natural and es surfaces.I guess about 9 -10 years ago I saw my fist slab/sheet of es, it was blue with sparkle bits in it and I thought this bollocks will never take off, i was wrong. I swallowed my pride about 5 years ago and started to work it, what a piece of p.ss it was, no veins, no hard and soft spots, easy to polish, in fact it was so easy I think any man in the street with a little common sense could work it.
But I think that is the point, people are getting into solid surface es that have no intention of doing natural stone and not have the skills to do it because natural stone is a very different animal from es.
I go and look at granite tops that have been in 10-15 years and a reseal and occasional polish and they look as good as the day they went in, now down here we have some of the highest UV rays in the southern hemishpere now what do you think the es is going to look like in 10-15 years at an educated guess I don,t think its going to be too flash.
So in answer to the question for my point NATURAL STONE all the way |
