What grit are you up to now?
You may want to invest in some 3m plastic. That paper barrier may fail you after some time, plus it takes too long to set up.

Re: Swirl Marks In Terrazzo Floor

On monday morning i'm using 120 resin...... i use a 3m product to wrap kitchen areas. I'm afraid if i run it along walls & baseboard it will peel the paint off. 10-4 on the on the set-up time with the builders construction paper. to much time

Re: Swirl Marks In Terrazzo Floor

How big is this job?
I hate when I have to stop a job and come back to it. If I have to leave the job undone, I work a size area than I work up to a 600 grit. This way no one can drop coffee or any thing else that would cause be to start over or even drop down one grit.

The 3m plastic use blue tape to hold it to the base board and the plastic it self use static charge to cling to the wall.

Re: Swirl Marks In Terrazzo Floor

As time pass you will do that 500 sq ft from 30 up in like two day are one 12 hour day, well that is with a swing machine. I here guys say they can do more work with tolls that you have than and one can do with a swing, so you may get it done faster.

That dog just made my point about stopping at a low grit.
Your 200- 400- 600- 800 and polish should take you no time to run, but the clean up is going to kill you.
I hope you take images on the last day of the job, right before clean up and after clean up.
