Stains around stove

Hey guys, I got a call for a job that i wanted to run by you. I havent called them back because i wanted to be sure on what to do. The customer called and said he has a "pourous gray granite with white vains" in his kitchen. He said around the stove there are black stains that he would like to get removed before it gets worse. I havent gone to the house yet so i cant post any pics for you. I can go to look at the job first to take some picks so you all can see, but i just wanted a heads up on what a job like this involves. Would a poultice be used and thats it or is it more involved.Thanks

That does not sounds right.
take a look at the edge next to the stove, if it is not polish apply the poultice to the edge. do not forget to seal and polish the edge when you are done. If you need more in-depth information on the posses, meet me in the trade area.
