polishing basalt?

I am looking at a couple of bathroom floors in the morning for a client that would like his basalt floors polished.... has anyone dealt with this before?

Yes. I've polished Basalt with brushes. Please post pictures so we can see what we are dealing with.

I too would like to see an image of the floor. Tim, you will need to be careful on this job, people do not like to pay. This stone can give mix results.

that is why a deposit is required up front to cover any costs involved and the liability. I don't think that this floor needs to be polished. just cleaned up and enhanced. client should be very happy with the results. besides they are in two bathrooms that would need to be done by hand and wouldn't even want to offer that to him. too much work for little results.
