Question Lemon juice ring on French limestone counter

Our cooking group made a meal together. I did not know that lemon juice in the salad dressing ran down the side of the bowl and sat on the counter for quite some time. It is in a circle the size of the bottom of the bowl. We tried a poultice and it did nothing. The limestone has a carmel color and veining of tan and gray. I don't think we can oil it to make the circle darker, but I'm wondering if there is some polish that I can use to make the stain less noticeable or should I sand the counter with wet fine sand paper. I could send a picture if that would help someone to advise me of what to do next.

I'm sending several pictures so that you can see the different coloring in the countertop

Re: Lemon juice ring on French limestone counter

Hi Nick, that top needs to be resurface and than seal correctly.
The seal will not stop this from taking place, it will just give you a lot more time before it will get damage.

I will look and see if I can find a pro in your area. This is not a job for a homeowner.

Thank you for your advice. Just to let you know, I live in Wausau, about 2 hours north of Madison and 3 and one half from Milwaukee.

Re: Lemon juice ring on French limestone counter

In the end, the overall counter will look better than brand new.
