| Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes Hi Huligar, I have bee having a look around the site and noticed you run hands on Stone Restoration courses. I live in Australia but may be interested in coming over to the States to do one of your courses. How far ahead do you plan them as i would need some time to organise things from my end.
Thanks Geoff |

| Re: Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes Well, I can tell you that if people don't stop asking for a class and then not signing up for it when it comes along there may not be any more classes at my facility. I donate my facilities and time to the NSRA at my expense and the people who ask for them don't come. Don't ask for something if you don't plan on being there.

| Re: Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes Dave, if we give them more time and dates it may work out better.

| Re: Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes topshop,
i would personally like to thank you for the use of your facility. and i plan to be there next week. look froward to meeting you.
huligar,
yeah, i think that if you had a set schedule for the year or at least 6 months, there would be more people signing up for the class. especially for the ones not located nearby, planning takes a little more time.
mahalo,

| Re: Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes Glenn,
It is a good thing for the students that the classes run small but it seems that the potential students who are asking for the classes are not signing up. It is only the smart ones who come and realize the potential and value of what we are teaching. As a fabricator the class helped me save the cost of the class many times over in stone costs. As a restoration guy the class teaches a huge untapped market just waiting to help your business grow.
Jo,
It is a good thing for students to plan ahead and be able to plan ahead. Let's face it - very few restoration guys plan or even think ahead - if that was the case these guys would smarten up, join the NSRA so we all promote our businesses, build the national network, and reap the rewards of our efforts together. Instead these guys are only thinking about their pockets today and getting nowhere.
You need to invest in the future - It sneaks up on you fast. Heck - it seems like only yesterday I was half my age.
Sorry guys - It must be a mid life crisis. I'm gonna go crawl back into my rocking chair now.

| Re: Info wanted on Stone Restoration classes guys I wasn't making a comment about how many people aren't signing up for the class. about 6 months ago I told Jo that he should try and set up a class in Australia - it would do him some good to get off his computer and she how beautiful this it is down under. So I was pointing out that Geoff makes 2 people from Australia that are very interested in having a class and one airline ticket for Jo would be much easier than multiple tickets for them to all come up here. also considering the exchange rate for money from here to there would be less expensive than them all coming to the states.
Also Dave, you really aren't that old, remember that I am just behind you.... it just means that we need to take more naps each day.... I know that frustrating feeling though... I just had a client cancel a quick job for the 5th time this week and reschedule. I want to go through the phone and rip her heart out. It is a 75 mile round trip for me to get this job done and she has called 1 hour before our appt to cancel - so I'm already on my way out there.... 4x times now. aaaarrrrgggg!!!!!
Love to all. |
