Drill new hole for RO faucet

I just bought a Reverse Osmosis unit to go under my kitchen sick, with a granite counterop. The instructions say to drill a small hole in the top for the faucet, 5/8" I think. I've called a few installers of RO units and they say I need a granite guy. I've called all I can find in the area and none will even talk to me about drilling a countertop they didn't install. What can I do? Is this really so hard to do without cracking that no one will try? Can I do this? Please advise. I live north of Phoenix AZ if you know anyone!

I've done this for people that weren't my customers. I don't do anything for less than $200.00.

You can buy a diamond bit from one of the granite supply houses for ninty bucks or so. Drill a hole the same size in a piece of scrap plywood and hot melt glue it to the deck. Chuck your diamond bit into a drill or better yet a grinder if you have one, fill the plywood hole with water and keep it filled as you drill through the granite.

You won't crack the granite, relax.
