Re: Crack in granite need repair ideas

Hi there, Regarding the possibility of doing a farm sink instead, yes, it can be done by a qualifyed tech. In fact i would recomend this option over the repair even though this option would be expensiver. (not only you are modifying the granite but the cabinet as well) Just be aware of the dust that this kind of repair would create.
Out of experience I can tell you that even if the repair is properly done, the buyer still may not accept it, because He knows of the "flaw" and you would end up paying for two repairs instead of one.

I agree that the buyer may not like the repair if it is not done well. But having seen the examples of some of the seams on this site, I believe that there are some very talented technicians here that can make this thing disappear. In Socal this repair would be around $450. And we would do it wet so there would be not dust. Bag the farmhouse sink idea. and bite the bullet.

And while they're at it tell them to fix teh seam as well.

Re: Crack in granite need repair ideas

The farm house sink cut out will expost the rod at the cut. This would only lead to more risting. I am sure the rods go past the sink hole.

MGT this is a simple fix, if you want more details on how, you will need to ask in the trade area of this forum.
