countertop has black stains

I've noticed that our kitchen countertop has black stains on it. I believe they are coming from my coffee pot. When I move it to put the water and coffee in each morning, the little rubber feet on the bottom are making these black marks. I've tried cleaning them with soap and water, but they won't come off. What else would be safe to use?

Re: countertop has black stains

razor, 00 steel wool, alchohol or acetone and a rag. these are a few simple things you can try. doesnt sound like its too big of a deal, just need to find the right thing to use.

I'm wondering if a simple pencil eraser might work...
