Re: Advice on Unfilled 12x12 Travertine

Thank Huligar advice, I'll work small areas @ a time and use my truckmount from time to time to keep the slurry from harding in the voids. ( 400 psi w/ 120 degree water )

Here is what you can do in half the time, no truckmount needed, and no helper.

4 thousand working space completed in less than five hours.

If you want more information, you will have to ask in the trade area.

Re: Advice on Unfilled 12x12 Travertine

make sure you charge enough for materials. that unfilled trav will eat your resins and whatever buffing/honing pads you are using. i had a set of 220 and 400 pads dissapear after 3000 ft.

Re: Advice on Unfilled 12x12 Travertine

10-4 on charging enough, i got some 4" typhoon 1/2 inch beveled resin that should do the trick..... I've already proposed this job. Next time i' going to use Jo's 4 Thousand Working Space Completed, in less than Five Hours Method.

Surface Pro Plus Wet

For marble, granite, concrete & terrazzo
12mm thick for extra long life (83mm diameter)
Unique labyrinth design with large water channels
Beveled edges for smooth cutting.

A few of the guys love this stuff. I would not use the lower grits on the unfilled travertine. After all, you want to get your money worth out of these bad boys.

Re: Advice on Unfilled 12x12 Travertine

here is another pad that I like a lot and they are only $15

Resin-bond diamond floor discs are designed for grinding, honing, and polishing natural stone floors. Our floor discs work effectively on marble, granite, and terrazzo floor. They are Velcro-backed and can easily be fit on any floor machines. The wide gap between segments allows slurry to pass through freely, therefore extending the life of the pads and achieving desirable results.
Features

* Aggressive
* Long-lasting
* Velcro-Backed
