STONE CARE TIPS

Probably the biggest fear people have of natural stone is its maintenance. Following some simple precautions, proper sealing guidelines, and using the correct cleaning methods and products, will insure a lifetime of use from natural stone.
The best care you can give your natural stone is preventative care. Preventing stains or scratching before they happen is far easier than getting rid of them after the it really happens.

Carefully read the DOs and DON'Ts:

The DOs

Should always follow manufacture's guidelines while using sealers.
Should always use preventative cleaning measures.
Should always wash blotting immediately with stone soap or water.
Should always put coasters, trivets or mats while putting something on stone surface.

The DONT's

Should not use any hard cleaners that contain acid on any natural stone
Should not use vinegar, bleach, ammonia or other general-purpose cleaners
Should not hesitate to contact stone restorer for advice on cleaning, care and maintenance
Should not use abrasive cleaners and alkaline cleaners not meant for natural stones

Users are advised to keep a regular maintenance schedule to keep the stones pristine. Proper cleaning guidelines should be followed and special instruments and materials meant for stones like stone soap used. Through cleaning from time to time is a pre-condition to preserve the natural beauty of the stones
