the ceaserstone is a man made product oppose to the marble which is natural. te misty ceaser that you are talkinhg about i have worked with before and i personally belive it looks very nice and one of the most realistic man mades on the market.
If this is going to your island bench in the kitchen i would definatly go with man made every single time for a kitchen oppose to marble for the reasons that the marble will sratch as soon as you put your keys on it.
Marble is really only good for tiles or in your personal ensuite where not many people will be touching it.
Price wise the carrera is worth roughly $1200Aus a slab and the ceaserstone is about $8-900 per slab.
whether or not you are going to have a 20mm or 40 mm thick top you should only need one slab for you island bench depending on the size.
