We had UbaTuba granite installed in our kitchen today. Everything looks great, except the nasty seam directly in front of our sink. blah!

The installer said it would darken and become less visible in 24 hours or so. Is this true?
The seam is also slightly uneven, the installer said this was to protect the integrity of the seal. After that, I thought it useless to ask any other questions, because there's no truth to this, right?
If it's not any better by Monday, I'm calling the company that installed it and asking them to fix it. Is a fix for this type of thing even possible? Some of the work I've seen on this forum suggests it is.
Frankly, I'd rather have a pro from this site come out to fix it and pay, rather than having this company muck it up even further.
Anyone listening here willing to travel to Oxford, CT to smooth out and polish my 5' seam? What will it cost me? I love everything else about the install, hate to have to change anything else about it!
