Anthony, one of the first things we drill into you at the class is how to determine what grit to start off with. The starter grit will always be determine by the damage to the stone, type of stone, and desire finish. In most cases you can start off with a 500 grit.

As for the uba tuba, we will need to see some images are video of your test area.
